Small mealworm colony in southeastern PA

For some reason, finding a home for stuff with more than four legs is never easy. If you need to give one up, this is the place to post.

Small mealworm colony in southeastern PA

Postby lisa k » Sun May 18, 2008 12:20 pm

Hi, my name is Lisa, and I have a small breeding colony of mealworms available for donation if anyone is interested. My elderly and much beloved bearded dragon died in November. I donated most of his remaining feeder insects then, but I had a few mealworms left and felt it wouldn't be quite right to kill them. So I kept them. Now they're all grown up with kids of their own...lots and lots of kids of their own. Without my trusty old dragon, Charlie, I'm afraid there is no one left to eat them...unless I develop some rather odd culinary habits, which I'm not too keen to do.

The colony consists of two adult beetles and their many charming little worm offspring, possibly 50-100 wiggling bundles of joy. I'd be more than happy to donate them and their 18"x10"x12" tank. So if you're looking for that special mealworm colony, please let me know. The mealworms and I are in Southeastern PA (Ambler). If you wish to make a donation for them, please donate to Forgotten Friend. The amount will be left to your discretion. Thanks!
